Time for new design and 3D printed toy. This time it is spinning top toy, but with coil which you have to push down for twisting the main part. This was real challange for me, because designing coil with proper dimensions and pitch angle was only one part of the problem. Second dificulty was the clutch, because the holder only transmits the torque only when pushing down, but after that it can not rotate together with main part of the body. This means I have to design a clutch wich transports the torque only in one direction.

Every part can be printed without supports.

For main spinning top toy you can download STL for 10 parts. But only 2 parts has to be replaced if you want longer or shorter version (bottom and screw coil). I recommend to use middle version, but you can download longer and shorter versions too (see the video for details).

Also there is the "mini version" for spinning with your fingers. Only 1 hour of printing, have fun :-)
